Our goal - help strengthen the expertise of minority members in the information technology community, offer this expertise to those minorities evaluating information technology for career or business potential, and broaden the information technology knowledge of the Greater Dallas community as a whole.

Chad White

President

A recognized technology leader, Chad White, joined HCSC in the summer of 2006 as a Senior Data Analyst.  Chad’s work has been instrumental in providing ITG with strong support of database management activities critical to the success of production systems and company performance.
Chad obtained his Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University in the fall of 2002.  Then he returned to Keller Graduate School to obtain a double Masters Degree in Project Management and Business Administration. In his spare time, Chad teaches GED classes for Brookhaven College.  He has also served as a member of the Dallas Rotary Club of Dallas, Boys Club of America, Youth Leadership Dallas, Membership Chair of Black Data Processors Association and KERA’s Teens Against Violence radio talk show.

Denise Holmes

VP Strategy & Planning

Denise Holmes attended North Texas State for graduate studies in Business Administration. She studied LAN Administration at Microsoft University and began her career in Information Technology. She currently hold the position of Problem Management Manager in the ITG Operations at Health Care Service Corporation. Her team utilizes the Solution Delivery Methodology to ensure the Operations areas are operational ready to support production systems when implemented. Her community service activities includes volunteering with the Caring for Children organization that offers free immunization clinics in the DFW metroplex. She has been a part of the BDPA organization for the past 5 years and is 2012-2014 President-Elect with HCSC BDPA Corporate Chapter.

Stacy Stewart

VP Strategy & Planning

Stacy L. Stewart studied Criminal Justice at the University of Central Oklahoma. A strong advocate for community service, diversity & inclusion initiatives, he encourages his employees to get involved, gain knowledge and contribute to the understanding of our differences. His professional interests focus on managing the Hardware Logistics / Asset Management team and lead IT support functions. He also provides strategic planning, implementation and logistical management. In addition, he served as President of BDPA Dallas Chapter, and the Academy of Information Technology advisory board at South Oak Cliff High School. He was honored with a nomination for the President's Diversity & Inclusion Award for his contribution to diversity and inclusion at Health Care Service Corporation and surrounding communities and received the BDPA Epsilon Award for Community Service

Edward Gowense

VP Member Services

Edward Gowens (Ed) is an IT professional with over 20 years of experience in the IT field and has worked in industries such as financial services, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, higher education, and consumer products.   Ed attended Michigan State University and became active with the National Society of Black Engineers while majoring in Computer Science.  Ed’s professional career began simply as a mainframe programmer and help desk support.  As he gained knowledge about IT and various systems, he soon developed skills managing enterprise wide systems and application development.
